Biography

  • Born June 19th, 1990 in Beaumont Texas and raised in rural LaBelle. Outside was the place to adventure, learn, and create.
  • Diligence and attention to detail (now translated into Maladapted Perfectionism) are cultivated in creative studies.
  • First success came in the form of a Rhode Island Red rooster painted for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and auction as well as acceptance to the Western Art Academy summer program in Kerrville, TX for traditional courses in sculpture and oils.
  • Progression to college to earn a Bachelors of Fine Art in Painting from Lamar University (2008-2012) further solidifies the want of more art schooling, more experience.
  • This leads to Graduate school, moved in and met Lee (to be husband) completed MFA Dec 2015, Studio Art emphasizing Sculpture, at University of Texas at San Antonio. Now what?
  • Interning with local museums, Registrar/Collections department to learn jobs in the art field. I enjoy a behind the scenes job.
  • Contract work as a preparator and organizational assistant, move rentals a few times with Lee.
  • Hired on at Parchman Stremmel Gallery, first as a gallery assistant, then as a manager. Bought a house that we tear apart and remake. This time also encompasses the passing of Carolyn Parchman and later, my father from cancer. Wedding! Period of high points mixed with grief and silence.
  • Emerging with the drive to do something else, to make but not only “art.” Begin partnership with French and Michigan as a Landscape Designer. Combining design with ecology.
