Drip, Drip, Dripping

January – May 2013

These pieces are a series of explorations of the sculptural qualities of glass paint.
I wanted to approach this process of dripping paint and the time involved in layering with a meditative mindset, allowing for elegant and poetic forms that evoke tension between control and gravity.
As we move through daily life we form paths, routines, and networks.
I see each line as a unique build-up of moments or experiences that create a progressive being moving through space.
The combination of these can produce a new entity altogether or build a relationship between parts.
My intent is to create a sense of vulnerability and increased awareness of bodily space through interaction with these works.
