Every relationship possesses a duality – procreative symbiosis balanced by parasitic tendencies.
Nurture riddled with the harsh reality of demands and the beauty of poison.
Exchange between opposing energies births a costly product.
For creative growth to occur, there must exist a resilient spine.
I begin each sculpture with a decrepit form that lacks integral elements, then proceed to repair the “wound” by delicately accumulating minutiae suggestive of growth.
Like atomic composition, individual particles are trivial when isolated, but momentous when unified. Resulting in disturbingly beautiful teeming masses.
